What is ImgWell and what image formats does it handle?

Why does it say "no upload" — is that actually safe?

With this many tools, which one should I start with?
Pick by scenario: files too big to upload or email — use Compress. Need a different format (WebP to JPG, HEIC to JPG, etc.) — use the matching converter. Need different dimensions or want to cut out part of the photo — use Resize or Crop. Worried about location data hiding in a photo's metadata — use Remove EXIF.
